Dr. Sigang Yang was born in Xiantao city, Hubei province, China. He received his B. E. degree in material from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China in 2000 and the M. E degree in physical electronics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China in 2003. He received his Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electronic Engineering, at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in 2008. From 2008 to 2010, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, at The University of Hong Kong. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering, at Tsinghua University. His research interests mainly focus on Brillouin nonlinearity, silicon photonics and integrated microwave photonics.
