Dr Chen Jiang is currently an assistant professor, with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University. He received the BS degree in engineering from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, and the PhD degree in engineering from the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge, UK. His PhD research was all-inkjet-printed low-voltage organic thin-film transistors, where he achieved ultra-low-power (< 1 nW) and high-intrinsic gain (> 1000 V/V) organic thin-film transistors and applied them to human electrophysiological monitoring, published in the Science journal. After this, he carried out postdoc research as a Wellcome Trust Junior Interdisciplinary Fellow at the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Cambridge, UK, working on cochlear implant current spread and 3D-printed artificial cochlear models. His current research interests are focused on novel electronic device architectures, large-area flexible transparent electronics, low-power circuits, and their applications to wearable/implantable sensing/stimulating interfaces and bioelectronic systems. Dr Jiang was a recipient of the IEEE Electron Devices Society PhD Student Fellowship 2018.
