Professor Yong Ren received his B.S, M.S and Ph.D. degrees in electronic engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 1984, 1987, and 1994, respectively. He worked as a post doctor at Department of Electronics Engineering, Tsinghua University, China from 1995 to1997. Now he is a professor of Department of Electronics Engineering, and the director of the Complexity Engineered Systems Lab (CESL) in Tsinghua University. He holds 60 patents, and has authored or co-authored more than 300 technical papers in the behavior of computer network, P2P network and cognitive networks. He has serves as a reviewer of IEICE Transactions on Communications, Digital Signal Processing, Chinese Physics Letters, Chinese Journal of Electronics, Chinese Journal of Computer Science & Technology, Chinese Journal of Aeronautics and so on. His current research interests include complex systems theory and its applications to the optimization and information sharing of the Internet, Internet of Things and ubiquitous network, cognitive networks and Cyber-Physical Systems.
