Zhiquan Yuan is an Assistant Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University. He received his Bachelor's degree from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Tsinghua University and earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Applied Physics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at Caltech and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), under the supervision of Professor Kerry Vahala and Professor Kartik Srinivasan, respectively.

His research focuses on integrated photonics and a variety of nonlinear optical phenomena in high-quality-factor optical microcavities, as well as their applications. His areas of interest include optical frequency combs, optical frequency conversion, stimulated Brillouin lasers, on-chip quantum light sources, and precision measurement systems.
