He has long been engaged in research on intelligent sensing, information fusion, and data governance technologies for smart cities. He has participated in the planning of data asset management systems for several large enterprises and has led the design and implementation of multiple smart environmental protection and smart city projects.

He is the author of several monographs in the field of data governance, including Data-Element-Oriented Governance: Theories, Methods, and Engineering Practices and Master-Data-Driven Data Governance. He contributed to the formulation of the National Data Administration’s “Data Elements x” Three-Year Action Plan (2024–2026) and provided expert interpretation. He also participated in drafting and interpreting the National Data Administration’s Implementation Plan for Improving the Governance of Data Circulation Security and Promoting the Marketization and Valorization of Data Elements, and contributed to the compilation of best practices in the Data Circulation Security Governance case collection.

He has been involved in several major research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program project Research on Key Technologies for the Full Life-Cycle Governance of Urban Organisms and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) key project Construction and Quality Assessment Techniques for High-Quality Datasets. He has published over 50 academic papers.
