Shuwen Deng is currently the tenure-track assistant professor in Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University. She received Ph.D. from Yale University, advised by Prof. Jakub Szefer, and has been a postdoctoral research fellow at University of Michigan, working with Prof. Baris Kasikci. Her research interests span computer architecture, novel architecture, hardware security, and privacy computing. She has published in top conferences, such as ISCA, ASPLOS, HPCA, and CCS. She is the recipient of the 2023 IEEE HOST Best PhD Dissertation Award, the 2020 Google PhD Fellowship in Privacy and Security, and an Elihu Elias Dickerman Fellowship. She has been named a Rising Star in EECS by the University of California Berkeley. Her work has been selected as Top Picks 2021 in Hardware and Embedded Security.
