Xing Lin is an Associate Professor and a doctoral supervisor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University, as well as the head of the Photonic Computing and Integration Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University in 2015 and completed postdoctoral research at Stanford University and UCLA. His research focuses on photonic computing chips, optoelectronic intelligent computing, and intelligent photonics. He has published over 50 papers in international journals and conferences, with more than 7,000 citations, and holds over 30 granted and pending invention patents. He serves on the editorial boards of journals including PhotoniX, APL Photonics, and IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics. He has been honored with awards such as the MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 (Asia Pacific), Baidu Global AI Young Scholar, the Frontier Science Award at the International Congress of Basic Science, and the First Prize for Science and Technology Progress from the Chinese Institute of Electronics. Currently, he is leading projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China's General Program and the National Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology under the "Science and Technology Innovation 2030" initiative.
