Faculty Profile

Gang Li received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electronic engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2002 and 2007, respectively. Since July 2007, he has been a Faculty Member with Tsinghua University, where he is currently a Professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering. From 2012 to 2014, he visited The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA, and Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, USA. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 journal papers and conference papers. He has authored the book Advanced Sparsity-Driven Models and Methods for Radar Applications (SciTech/IET Publishing, London, U.K., in 2020) and edited the book Radar Countermeasures for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (SciTech/IET Publishing, London, in 2021). His research interests include radar signal processing, remote sensing, and information fusion. He is serving as a Senior Area Editor for IEEE SIGNAL PROCESSING LETTERS, an Associate Editor for IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON AEROSPACE AND ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS, and an Associate Editor for IEEE JOURNAL OF SELECTED TOPICS IN APPLIED EARTH OBSERVATIONS AND REMOTE SENSING. He served as an Associate Editor for IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON SIGNAL PROCESSING. He is the Fellow of The IET and the Senior Member of the IEEE.
