Deng Beixing is a professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University and previously served as the deputy head of the department. His primary research focuses on next-generation internet theory and applications, as well as signal and information processing. He is a member of the Information Theory Society of the Chinese Institute of Electronics. He has published over 100 academic papers and has received several awards, including the for Science and Technology Progress from the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress from the Ministry of Education, two Second Prizes for Higher Education Teaching Achievements from Beijing Municipality, and the Tsinghua University "Friends of Tsinghua" Outstanding Teacher Award.
